1. SCOPE OF APPLICATION
These general terms and conditions of sale of the French Basketball Federation’s ticketing service (the “General Terms and Conditions of Sale” or “GTCS”) govern the sale of Tickets as well as the terms of use of said Tickets.
1.1.
The GTCS apply by operation of law to the sale or provision (individually), by the French Basketball Federation, of Tickets granting access to any natural person or legal entity — including the host territory and the licensees of the FRENCH BASKETBALL FEDERATION — submitting an order either online via the Ticketing Portal or using a paper form sent by mail.
1.2.
No special condition may take precedence over these GTCS unless previously agreed in writing by the French Basketball Federation.
1.3.
Any order or purchase of Tickets implies full and unconditional acceptance by the Buyer (or Holder) of the GTCS. To formalize this acceptance, the Buyer must tick the box provided for this purpose on the Order Form or the Online Form. Failing this, the order cannot be processed.
The Buyer declares that they have full legal capacity and/or any authorizations that may be necessary to enter into such an agreement. Validating a Ticket, together with entering the arena using the Ticket, constitutes irrevocable acceptance of the Stadium Rules by the Holder of said Ticket. The Stadium Rules may be consulted at the entrances of the Arena.
1.4.
The rights and obligations arising from the GTCS automatically apply to any new Holder of a Ticket, by virtue of the transfer of the Ticket carried out under the conditions stated in Article 6 below.
2. ACCEPTANCE OF THE CONDITIONS
The purchase of an admission ticket (or “Ticket”) implies unconditional acceptance of these GTCS as well as of the Internal Regulations of the arena where the event takes place. Any person in violation of the aforementioned documents may be denied entry to the venue or expelled without being entitled to a refund of their admission ticket.
The Customer is aware that, in order to ensure public safety during an event, they may be filmed by the video surveillance system placed under the authority of judicial police officers and potentially used in the context of criminal proceedings. Access to the arena during an event organized by the French Basketball Federation will be refused to any minor not accompanied by an adult holding an admission ticket of the same type as that of the minor (category, location…).
3. GENERAL INFORMATION REGARDING TICKETS
Ticket prices are indicated in euros, all taxes included (VAT included), excluding shipping fees. All orders, regardless of origin, are payable in euros. The Seller reserves the right to modify its prices at any time, but Tickets will be invoiced based on the rates in effect at the time the order is recorded.
Tickets for events remain the property of the organizer until full and final payment of the price has been received by the French Basketball Federation or its agents. Consequently, the latter cannot be held responsible for any changes in seat categorization, type, or category decided by the event organizer between the order and the issuance of the admission tickets.
For certain events, the selling price offered by the Seller may be higher than the face value indicated on the admission ticket due to acquisition fees or commissions charged by suppliers as well as management, handling and/or processing fees applied by the Seller. It is agreed that only the category indicated on the admission ticket and chosen by the Customer during the ordering process shall prevail in the event of any dispute regarding said category upon receipt of the tickets.
Seat limits per order for an event are set by the organizer. If this limit is not respected, orders may be entirely canceled at the Seller’s sole discretion. Persons requesting more tickets than allowed may be excluded from allocation, even after the tickets have been issued.
All children aged 5 and older must have a paid ticket to enter the venue.
4. AVAILABILITY OF TICKETS
Reservations for events organized by the French Basketball Federation are processed in real time. In this context, the server informs you of ticket availability at the time your order is placed. If one or more types of requested seats are unavailable, the server will automatically offer the best available remaining seats. Orders placed with the Seller are firm and final.
Due to very high demand, limited availability, and the specific marketing method of certain events, seat categories supplied by partners may differ from the initial request.
When ordering online, the Customer acknowledges being aware of the characteristics of the Internet, notably that access may be saturated at certain times of day for reasons beyond the Seller’s control (poor connections, maintenance, traffic overload). Under such circumstances, the French Basketball Federation cannot be held responsible for the risks described above.
5. SEATING ARRANGEMENTS
If the option is provided, the Customer selects the desired seat location for the chosen event based on availability. Seat allocation is made in the order reservations are received and does not constitute any contractual commitment by the French Basketball Federation regarding exact seat placement.
By default, seats from the same order are grouped together by row, section, or gate. Whenever possible, seats from the same order are contiguous. However, seats may sometimes be separated, in which case the services of the French Basketball Federation will attempt to arrange the closest possible seating within technical limits.
6. ORDER AND PAYMENT
It is reminded that ticket prices must be paid in full on the day of the order. Payment is made by bank card bearing the CB logo. In addition, the automatic order registration system serves as proof in the event of a dispute. The Customer is responsible for the accuracy of the information they provide when ordering, particularly regarding the recipient’s address.
The Seller uses a secure payment system to ensure the highest level of safety for the Customer. Only the indicated amount is debited. Confidential banking data is encrypted according to a security protocol and transmitted to a banking server. No intermediary has access to this information.
The Seller never stores the Customer’s card number; only the banking server performs the verification and processing. The order validated by the Customer is considered effective only when the relevant banking institutions have given their approval. The Seller confirms acceptance of the sale by sending an email to the Customer at the address provided. In case of refusal by said institutions, the order will automatically be canceled and the Customer will be notified by email.
7. COLLECTION OF THE ADMISSION TICKET OR TICKET
Depending on the methods defined by the Organizer and/or the Seller, one or more collection methods will be offered to Buyers. The available methods will be shown to the purchaser at the time of ordering (on the Order Form or reservation page).
7.1. “E-TICKET” PRINTING
Tickets are digital; that is, they are issued as e-tickets that must be downloaded and printed on a blank A4 white sheet. Printable e-tickets can be downloaded from the “MY ACCOUNT” section under the “MY E-TICKETS” tab.
Tickets sold by the Seller generally take the form of “e-tickets,” which must be printed on A4 paper. The e-ticket is necessarily printed by the Customer and can be downloaded at any time from their personal account. The e-ticket is valid only under the following conditions: it must be printed on blank A4 white paper, single-sided, without resizing, in portrait format. No other form (electronic, computer screen, mobile phone screen…) will be accepted.
Partially printed, soiled, damaged, or illegible tickets will not be accepted and will be considered invalid. In case of printing issues or poor print quality, the Customer must reprint the digital file. The Customer must verify that the printed information and barcode are fully legible.
Before ordering, the Customer must ensure they have the necessary software and hardware: an Internet-connected computer equipped with Acrobat Reader and a printer. The Customer must test their printer before ordering to ensure it prints correctly.
The French Basketball Federation declines all responsibility in case the Customer cannot print their e-ticket due to failure to meet the required software or hardware conditions.
It is strictly forbidden to reproduce, duplicate, or counterfeit the ticket in any way. Reproducing a ticket or using a copy may result in legal action.
The Federation declines responsibility for any anomalies occurring during the ordering, processing, or printing of the ticket insofar as the Federation did not intentionally or negligently cause them, or in cases of loss, theft, or unlawful use of the ticket.
The ticket number and barcodes guarantee unique access during admission checks.
The first person presenting the ticket is presumed to be the legitimate holder and will be admitted to the event, regardless of the name (if any) printed on the ticket. During checks, the Customer must present valid official photo ID: identity card, passport, driving licence, or residency permit. Family record books are accepted for children. The Customer must keep the ticket for the entire duration of their presence at the event.
7.2. POSTAL DELIVERY
If the service is offered, the Customer may receive their order by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt, sent to the address provided to the Seller, for a flat-rate fee specified at the time of the order. The Seller will send the payment receipt and tickets to the address indicated during the ordering process (home or other address). In case of an address change after the order, the Seller cannot be held responsible if the package is delivered to the original address.
It is the Customer’s responsibility to arrange mail forwarding with the postal service in the event of an address change. No compensation or refund can be granted for damage resulting from returned mail after the event date or preventing re-delivery or on-site collection.
8. CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS
In accordance with the French Consumer Code applicable to these GTCS, the Customer has no right of withdrawal. A ticket cannot be refunded, returned, or exchanged, even in case of loss or theft, except in the event of cancellation of a show and the Organizer’s decision to refund tickets.
In the event of cancellation or postponement decided by the organizers, the order will be refunded in full, including shipping fees, provided the tickets are returned by the Customer to the Seller. Tickets may not be resold. No duplicate ticket will be issued, including in case of loss or theft.
For certain shows, Organizers reserve the right to postpone or modify dates and times, preventing any cancellation or refund claims from Customers unable to attend, including up to the day of the event.
This applies particularly to sporting events, where dates and times are given subject to change and may be modified by the Organizers without entitling the Customer to compensation or a refund if they are unable to attend.
When an event is canceled or modified (date, time, or venue), the Customer agrees that the Seller may, where possible and if the Seller has been informed by the Organizer, use the contact details provided during booking to inform the Customer of the steps to follow.
9. CUSTOMER OBLIGATIONS
The Customer holding a ticket must not:
Sell, exchange, or attempt to sell or exchange the ticket for profit, nor transfer ticket rights to third parties. Unauthorized resale or attempted resale may result in legal action.
Use or attempt to use the ticket for promotional or commercial purposes, including contests, lotteries, giveaways, packages, or any other similar action, or for any form of visibility.
Associate or attempt to associate their name or the name of any entity (company, association, brand…) with the event in any way. In case of breach, the Seller reserves the right to invalidate the ticket, and the holder may be denied entry or expelled.
Photograph, film, record, or broadcast the event by any means, especially online, or assist others in doing so. Venues may use video surveillance systems under police authority for security purposes. Images may be used in criminal proceedings. Spectators are informed that their image may appear in television broadcasts or film recordings of the event.
The Customer holding a ticket must:
Ensure that if they purchase tickets for beneficiaries free of charge, such beneficiaries must be informed of these GTCS and the Internal Regulations.
Use the ticket for personal use only.
Not use the Organizer’s event content, which remains the Organizer’s property; for example, they must not capture, copy, distribute, transmit, broadcast, reproduce, or publish any part of the event’s images or sounds.
Refrain from betting on the event inside the stadium or arena, by any means. In case of violation, the FFBB reserves the right to take any necessary measures, including expulsion from the venue.
10. LIABILITY
The French Basketball Federation is responsible for the proper performance of obligations arising from distance contracts, whether these obligations are fulfilled by itself or by service providers, without prejudice to any recourse against them. However, the Federation may be partially or fully exempted from liability if it proves that improper performance is attributable to the Customer, a third party outside the contract, or a case of force majeure.
Similarly, the Federation cannot be held liable for interruptions or inconveniences inherent to Internet use, including service outages, external intrusions, or computer viruses.
The Federation cannot guarantee and therefore cannot be held responsible for failures occurring on the Seller’s servers not caused by the Federation, nor failures occurring on interconnected networks.
11. NON-COMPLIANCE WITH THESE GTCS
Any Customer whose behavior is incompatible with these GTCS or whose tickets were not obtained in compliance with these conditions will have their order canceled and/or be refused entry or expelled from the venue.
In case of violation of the GTCS, the Customer is not entitled to any refund or compensation, and the Organizer may require the ticket to be returned.
Failure to exercise a right under these GTCS at a given time shall not be interpreted as a waiver to enforce it later.
12. IMAGE RIGHTS AND PERSONAL DATA
Any ticket holder attending a match expressly acknowledges that it is a public event and grants the French Basketball Federation, free of charge, the right to use their image on any promotional material related to the events. Providing personal data is optional except for names, first names, and complete addresses, which are mandatory for ticket purchase, processing, delivery, and invoicing.
Failure to provide mandatory information results in the order being invalid.
In accordance with French data protection law (“Informatique et Libertés”), the processing of personal data relating to a ticket holder has been declared to the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL) and is intended for the Seller’s commercial promotion.
Recipients of the data are the Seller’s marketing and commercial departments.
Data may be shared with commercial partners for marketing purposes.
The ticket holder has a right to access, rectify, modify, and delete their data by contacting the Seller’s marketing and commercial department. They may also oppose data processing for legitimate reasons.
PROMOTIONAL OFFERS
Tickets may be subject to promotional offers. Any promotional offer is subject to these GTCS; in the event of conflict, the promotional offer prevails. The French Basketball Federation reserves the right to modify or withdraw promotional offers at any time. Orders placed before modification or withdrawal will be honored under the conditions in effect at the time of the order.
13. LEGAL WARRANTY AND COMPLAINTS
In accordance with regulations, the French Basketball Federation undertakes to comply with legal warranty obligations relating to the services sold, as provided in the French Consumer Code and Civil Code. Except in cases involving legal warranties, any operation between the Federation and the Customer that is not contested within six months cannot give rise to a claim.
For any inquiries or claims, the Customer must write to the Ticketing Service of the French Basketball Federation.
14. DISPUTES
These GTCS are governed exclusively by French law.
Any dispute relating to their interpretation and/or execution must first be addressed through amicable negotiations whenever possible.
Failing an amicable agreement, the dispute shall be brought before the competent courts.
